March 14 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute (OLBI) invites you to a screening of the film Monsieur Lazhar with Director and Faculty of Social Sciences alumnus Philippe Falardeau in attendance.

March 16, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.


This talk will focus on the current situation of women鈥檚 rights in Brazil, showing the setbacks that occurred during the Bolsonaro administration, with special attention to reproductive rights, as well as perspectives on the future.

This conference will provide an overview of the immunization situation within Black communities; to discuss barriers related to vaccination against COVID-19 and other diseases; and discuss strategies and programs that are implemented to mitigate vaccine hesitancy in Black communities.

Towards linguistic resilience
A discussion aiming to demystify the concept and understand its application in education in Nova Scotia's Acadian communities, and francophone contexts in other parts of Canada.

March 22 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In celebration of World Water Day, this conference discusses Indigenous rights to clean waters, the path forward to Reconciliation and ensuring that Canada lives up to the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People.
