La has chosen Common Law鈥檚 Anne Levesque as a finalist for a in the Community Engagment category. The Prix Saphir aim to recognize and promote the commitment, excellence and influence of women in the Franco-Ontarian community.
Professor Levesque gives countless volunteer hours to many causes. For example, as a lawyer for the , she has worked over 1,000 pro bono hours to promote the equality rights of First Nations children. She is also a founding member of the , a world-renowned initiative that now involves more than 1,500 lawyers.
Winners will be announced at the Soir茅e Saphir on March 6, 2021, in Toronto.
