It's been about a month since the internship began and yet multiple events have crowned my learning.

Doing an internship at a distance is no easy task, as the immersion in the country's culture, the understanding of different ways of thinking and the human warmth are all a little lacking.

However, the novel that forms part of the coursework/internship in the Faculty of Social Sciences helps a lot. Despite the fact that it's not a historical book, I learned a thousand and one things about aspects that are rarely discussed in life in general. In this case, the author Mutt-Lon of my novel “Ceux qui sortent dans la nuit” provides information on witchcraft in certain tribes in the geographical regions of Cameroon.   The traditions and customs recounted are very enriching, moving from an aspect of the spiritual world to the daily lives of the characters.

The course is punctuated by daily meetings and weekly reports, not to mention communication workshops. As a result, I had to propose a schedule based on the expectations of the course instructors and their objectives. With the aim of perfecting our skills, they involved us in meetings on communication and digital rights, which were highly instructive, although often exhausting due to the time difference and the need to wake up very early.

My days are characterized by researching and planning the progress of social media to promote greater visibility for the NGO, the first strategy being to analyze the networks and then undertake regular publications to attract attention. Without

the creation of the Instagram social network to maximize their opportunity to be seen and recognized. [JV1] The schedule I drew up listed research into digital rights, social network management and the work my internship supervisors found important, namely tracking misinformation.

I'm also in charge of writing articles to enrich social networks. The writing is based on important events. The article I'll be writing is about the Protège QV training workshop for women journalists living in Yaoundé and the surrounding areas. In addition, in order to feed the social networks, I've asked for photos and events so that I can take care of the social network thumbnails with ease and make photo montages. For the time being, I've only been able to get some audio without too many photos, but that won't be long.

In addition to its research work, Protège QV has more far-reaching objectives. In fact, it is trying to promote the active participation of multiple players in order to encourage the improvement of living conditions, research into natural resource management and the empowerment of women in society through information programs.  In the coming weeks, national advocacy strategies will be rolled out, not to mention the mid-February broadcast of an event organized on the Protège QV platform.
