Biography

Chang-Hyun Kim joined the University of Ottawa in January 2024 as an Associate Professor in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Previously, he was an Associate Professor of Electronic Engineering at Gachon University, South Korea.

His research group is developing thin-film semiconductor technology, which provides a sustainable manufacturing solution for flexible, wearable and multifunctional electronic devices. Thin-film devices are essential components of flat-panel displays, and are finding new applications in sensing, memory, computing, energy and AI.

Dr. Kim received B.Sc. in Information Display from Kyung Hee University, South Korea, M.Sc. in Technology Innovation Engineering and Ph.D. in Physics from the 脡cole Polytechnique, France.鈥疕e held fellowships at Columbia University, USA, the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), South Korea.
