International experiential learning course (international internship)

Winter 2026 International Experiential Learning Course (International Internships)

The international experiential learning course (international internship) is a course as well as a work experience. It is a 12-week unpaid internship worth 6 units for undergraduate students.

Master鈥檚 and doctoral students will receive 3 units in their program of study.

All students interested in applying must schedule a meeting with the coordinator before submitting their application form. The meeting must take place BEFORE September 26, 2025 at midnight during our office hours. Email [email protected] to confirm your student number and availability. 

Join us on September 15, 2025 from 12:00 to 2 p.m. to learn about the international experiential learning course and meet the NGO partners. The session will take place .

P.S.: The host country and local partner are subject to change based on the NGO and the local organization needs.

International experiential learning course (international internship) Costs

Virtual Internships: Internships taking place remotely (only Fall 2026) cost $1500. There are no bursaries for virtual internships.

Field Internships: Field Internships will resume in Winter 2026 and Summer 2026. The cost is $4,700 (includes airline ticket, travel insurance, food, and housing). A mobility bursary is offered directly to students.

Please note that a $500 non-refundable deposit will be required for selected students in order to confirm participation in the internship. 

*Different fees apply for internships with the United Nations Association in Canada (see below for more details and contact [email protected] to discuss with the coordinator).

Other costs: Tuition fees are not included in costs mentioned above. Other costs may apply for field internships, such as medical certificate, vaccine, police check, visa, personal expenses, etc.
