All FSS programs are designed to help you get involved in Canadian society, or internationally, by supporting you in acquiring the tools and skills required to be a positive change agent in the lives of the people and communities you care about.

If you are not sure which program to choose from, we recommend you get as much information as you can about what interests you, and that you base your decision on facts. Speak to current students and profs, visit the campus, understand what sets our programs apart from other institutions. That may sound like it’s a lot of work, but we’ve been helping students like you make those decisions for years. So, here are some hacks we’ve put together for you:

1. Discover what interests you. Take a few moments to explore what area of study you may be interested in. See what disciplines make up the social sciences at the University of Ottawa!
2. Browse our various undergraduate programs. Once you find a program you like, follow the associated URL to access more relevant content online (take a virtual tour, watch student testimonials, etc.).
3. Get in touch with us at our admission events, including information fairs and our open houses in both the fall and spring. These events are relaxed and an effective way to get more info on the programs you’re thinking about. Bring along a friend or some family members, visit the 91��Ʒ���ϳԹ� campus and chat with 91��Ʒ���ϳԹ� representatives, students and professors who currently study and teach in the programs that interest you.
4. Be a Student for a Day and get answers! Attend a real class, meet with a student, speak with an academic advisor, discover our facilities, or take part in a campus tour. It’s really the closest you can come to actually being a university student while still being in high school or CEGEP. Our main campus is in the heart of downtown Ottawa so it’s also a great way to visit the nation’s capital. Plus… It’s free! Just register.
5. Our course sequences are there to help explain your course selection by year. It gives you a better idea of what to expect throughout your program. This resource will come in very handy when you are ready for course registration!
