The Centre for Law, Technology and Society is delighted to announce that two of its Faculty members have received tenure and are being promoted to the rank of Associate Professors on May 1st, 2020: Dr Wolfgang Alschner, and Dr Florian Martin-Bariteau.

Dr is currently an Assistant Professor within the , with cross-appointment to the .  An empirical legal scholar specialized in international economic law and the computational analysis of law, his research focuses on using social and computer science methods in order to empirically investigate international law. His areas of interest include international investment law and arbitration, WTO law, regional trade agreements, international dispute settlement, law & economics and empirical analysis of law.

Dr is currently an Assistant Professor of Law and Technology in the and the Director of the University of Ottawa . A technologist and creative turned legal scholar, his research focuses on Technology and Intellectual Property Law, with a special interest in Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Secrets and Whistleblowers. He is the recipient of the 2018-2019 Common Law Emergent Researcher Award.
